The Challenge: Disconnected CPM Systems and Manual Processes

Herbalife Nutrition was managing its financial data across multiple legacy Corporate Performance Management (CPM) tools, including Oracle Hyperion HFM, Planning, FDM, Essbase, and EPMA. The reliance on Excel for modeling and reporting made processes time-consuming and error-prone.

These outdated systems were unable to support project-level reporting due to dimensional limitations. Herbalife needed a unified, scalable platform and began exploring modern CPM solutions. After evaluating options and Oracle’s product roadmap, they selected OneStream for its ability to consolidate planning, reporting, and analytics in a single platform.

The Solution: Unified CPM with OneStream

Phase 1 included:

  • Global consolidations across 80 markets

  • Global expense and people planning

  • Integration with Oracle Fusion HCM

  • Conversion of 2.5 years of data

  • Complete replacement of Oracle Hyperion tools in just 10 months

Just three months later, they added a Transfer Profit solution and began using additional OneStream Marketplace apps, such as People Planning, Parcel Service, and Diagnostics 123.

With over 90 legal entities and more than 30 currencies, Herbalife manages complex intercompany sales and profit transfer scenarios. OneStream enabled the team to automate calculations for inventory elimination, FX impact, and more.
